Review: Reusable Metal Straws

Usability: 9/10

Mouth feel: 10/10

Packaging: 4/10

Overall: Makes a lovely alternative to the plastic straw. Would be better if there was a case for it.

Straws. What bastards.
The simple straw is such a big issue. However, I have found that I can’t just go cold turkey away from them. Whether is is to keep my lipstick in place, avoid the ice on my sensitive teeth, or seductively make eye contact with the stranger across the bar, straws have a place in our lives.
These plastic cylinders are at most food places you dine at, and to make matters worse, we on average only use them for 20 minutes. 20 minutes use but a lifetime on this planet.

I ordered the Ever Eco Straws (Bent) from Flora and Fauna. These cute straws came with a cleaning brush as well. Excellent.
Made from Stainless Steel, the straws are not only eco-friendly and BPA free but they are recyclable once they reach the end of their life.
Using them is a dream, they work beautifully in soda to smoothies, and clean up well afterwards.

The only downside I have with them is portability. I dearly wish that there was a slip or a bag that you could put them in so that you could add them to your handbag. The idea of having a used straw in my handbag is not the most appealing, either is using a straw that you do not know if it is clean/hygienic to use.
