Tricolore Salad

This salad reminds me of being a teenager. My sister coming home from soccer, ready for the Sunday lunch, in her Tricolore uniform speckled in dirt and grass.
Sunday lunch was never a big affair. Usually a simple pasta dish, bruschetta, or salad and meat.


  • 5 Roma tomatoes
  • 1 bunch of basil
  • 200gm of fetta
  • Olive oil
  • Salt and Pepper


  • Mixing bowl
  • Mixing spoon
  • Chopping board
  • Knife


  1. Dice the tomato and fetta into 1cm to 2cm cubes. Place into a large mixing bowl.
  2. Roughly chop and tear the basil leaves, adding to the bowl.
  3. Give a good crank of the salt and pepper mill, seasoning to preference.
  4. Lovingly coat with olive oil, and mix all ingredients together.
