Winter Capsule Inspiration.

I have been thinking more about my capsule wardrobe for winter. I have pulled some example outfits from the Internet. I am hoping that going through these I can create a colour theme, and see what I can use from my wardrobe to create many of these looks.

I have also decided that I need to have sections to my wardrobe.
Activewear: essentially clothes I would wear to the beach, the Gym or on a bush walk. I own all of this section and I don’t really care if this matches a theme or not.
Costumes: from cosplay to burlesque, I own a fair few costumes, which I can’t bare to part with. This would also include my pin up and vintage wares(which I guess are another capsule wardrobe)
Work: while I hope to interchange a lot of my work wear with my capsule theme, I feel like a few of my nicer work dresses and suites are not really working with the theme. I still intend on keeping them as they work perfectly when clients and suppliers are in town and I need to look more professional.

I love the simple easy style. The simple t and jeans. I may need to invest in a good quality pair of black skinny legs and a black leather handbag.

I love the layering of textures and volume. I can easily make this look from items I already own.

I love the flannel shirt. I might find one in a dark blue and black?

I love the layering of this outfit. I also love the warm knit.

I love this outfit, but I think it would hang weird on my bust.

I love the layering and texture of the above outfits.

I love the cleanness of this outfit.

How do you decide your capsule wardrobes theme?
